About Us

The Mindful Beauty Experience

In today’s fast paced society, we find very little time to take care of ourselves. Stress is the biggest thief of beauty, and has been linked to chronic inflammation, acne, fine lines, and wrinkles. Tox Doc’s mobile aesthetic medicine concept was created by Dr. Leisa Spence, after recognizing a need for physician-led, high-end services that are provided discreetly and conveniently to your doorstep.

Mindfulness is the act of being present in the moment.

Tox Doc’s mission is to take a mindful approach to beauty by providing a luxurious concierge experience. Dr. Spence takes a personalized approach with each patient, with a focus on relaxation techniques such as meditation and aromatherapy before each session of injectables. Every appointment includes these mindfulness practices to optimize your healing, complexion, and overall wellness, all while helping to restore calmness and balance.

Numbing lidocaine gel is applied prior to treatment, which provides comfort during the injection process to reduce sensitivity and pain. Potential side effects include bruising, bumps at site of injection, tenderness, redness, or discoloration. We expect these side effects to generally subside within the first 3-5 days. It’s always advised to make a one-month follow-up to reevaluate the treatment.

FAQ's

Botox FAQ's

Botox is a brand name for a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin type A. It is commonly used in aesthetic medicine for cosmetic purposes to temporarily reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing the underlying muscles or medically to relax muscles that create tension and chronic pain.

Botox works by blocking the nerve signals to the muscles, which temporarily prevents them from contracting. This relaxation of the muscles smoothens out the overlying skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines.

Botox is most commonly used to treat dynamic wrinkles, such as forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), and crow’s feet around the eyes. It can also be used for other off-label purposes, as determined by your qualified healthcare professional.

When administered by a trained and experienced healthcare professional, Botox is generally considered safe. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects. It’s important to discuss your medical history and any concerns with your healthcare provider before undergoing treatment.

Most people experience minimal discomfort during Botox injections. Some compare it to a “bee sting or a pinch.” The procedure is relatively quick, and a fine needle is used for precise injections. Maximum comfort measures can be applied including sensory distractors, ice packs, topical numbing agents.

The effects of Botox typically last between three to four months, but this can vary from person to person. As the muscle activity gradually returns, wrinkles and lines may reappear. Regular maintenance treatments are usually recommended to sustain the desired results.

Common side effects of Botox, like any procedure may include temporary redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site. Rarely, patients may experience headache, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. Serious complications are extremely rare but can include allergic reactions or muscle weakness in nearby areas. It’s important to discuss any concerns or possible side effects with your healthcare provider.

Yes, Botox can often be combined with other aesthetic treatments to achieve more comprehensive results. Here at Tox Doc, we focus on utilizing mindfulness, botox, filler and skincare regimens to optimize a balanced and natural look.

The cost of Botox treatments are listed under services. $13 dollars for BOTOX, Jeuveau, Xeomin and Dysport is 4.50 per unit. The average number of units required are subject based on individual needs. We always prioritize transparency and discuss pricing prior to initiating a treatment plan.

Filler FAQ's

Dermal fillers are injectable substances that are used to restore volume, enhance contours, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and facial lines. They are typically made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body.

Dermal fillers work by adding volume to areas that have lost fullness or have developed wrinkles over time. The filler is injected beneath the skin, providing support and smoothing out lines and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers are commonly used to enhance the lips, cheeks, chin, and jawline. They can also be used to fill in deep creases, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines, as well as to improve the appearance of under-eye hollows and acne scars.

Dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid are generally considered safe when administered by a qualified healthcare professional. However, as with any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects. It’s crucial to discuss your medical history and any concerns with your healthcare provider before undergoing treatment.

Most dermal fillers contain a numbing agent, such as lidocaine, to minimize discomfort during the procedure. Additionally, here at Tox Doc, we use different modalities including topical numbing agents, ice packs, dental blocks, sensory distractions & breathing techniques to further reduce any potential discomfort.

The duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used, the treated area, and individual factors. On average, hyaluronic acid fillers can last from six months to a year or more. Over time, the body gradually breaks down the filler, and maintenance treatments are usually recommended to sustain the desired results.

Common side effects of dermal fillers may include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. These effects are usually mild and resolve within a few days. Serious complications are rare but can include infection, allergic reactions, or lumps/bumps. It’s important to discuss any concerns or possible side effects with your healthcare provider.

The cost of dermal filler treatments can vary depending on amount of product used & location. Lip filler starts as low as 300 dollars. Discounts are applied more frequently with packages such as purchasing multiple syringes at a time, seasonal promotions, combining treatments.
